An incredibly easy way to prepare pork belly. Serve with roast vegetables.
- 150gr pork belly
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1 tsp tomato puree
- 1 tsp water
Serves 1 as part of the Budget Challenge
Cut the pork belly into strips or cubes.
Combine the paprika powder, tomato puree and the water. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Marinade the pork in the sauce.
Heat a frying pan. Don’t add butter or oil, the pork belly has plenty of fat. Simmer the pork belly to release the fat, then turn up the heat and bake until cooked through. The slip strips I made only need a few minutes, cubes will need a couple of minutes extra.
