Steak sandwiches are a great invention. You can make so many different kinds. Here I added mozzarella and sundried tomatoes for a Mediterranean feel.
- 1 tsp sunflower oil
- 170gr steak
- 60gr mozzarella
- 3 sundried tomatoes in strips
- 1 breadroll
Serves 1 as part of the Budget Challenge
Heat the oil in a frying pan and bake the steak brown on both sides. 2-3 minutes per side, also depending on the thickness of the meat. Season well with pepper. The sundried tomatoes will provide the salty element. Place it on a cutting board and cover loosely with aluminium foil for 10 minutes. Cut diagonally across the grain.
Cut the breadroll horizontally in half and place some lettuce on the bottom.
Slice the mozzarella, place it briefly in the frying pan to heat it some, which will prevent the steam from cooling too fast.
Place the steak slices on the lettuce, top with the mozzarella and the sundried tomatoes.
