In Asian dishes, prawns and pork are often combined, and they do make a great pair.
- 100gr raw prawns or shrimp, peeled
- 100gr pork leg steak
- 1 tsp fish sauce
- 1/2 tbs honey
- 1/2 tbs sunflower oil
- cracked pepper
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 onion
- 1 tbs fresh coriander
- 1 tsp sunflower oil
- 100gr broccoli in florets
- 70gr noodles
Serves 1 as part of the Budget Challenge
Cook the noodles according to packet instructions.
Cut the pork into pieces of 1.5 x 1.5cm.
Combine the fish sauce, honey, oil and some cracked pepper. Chop the garlic and half of the onion finely and add this to the sauce, together with the coarsely chopped coriander. Marinade the prawns and pork in this.
Cut the remaining onion half into chunks.
Heat the leftover teaspoon of sunflower oil in a frying pan. Soften the onions, then add the broccoli and bake brown in 3-4 min.
Add the pork first. Bake for 3 minutes.
Now add the prawns and the marinade and simmer for 2 minutes or until the prawns are just cooked through.
