Tagliatelle with Garlic Green Beans (BC)

A creamy garlic sauce with green beans goes so well with any type of pasta. It is great comfort food.

Ingredients:

  • 65gr tagliatelle
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 tsp sunflower oil
  • 2 large cloves of garlic
  • 200gr green beans
  • 125gr cooking cream
  • salt/pepper

Serves 1 as part of the Budget Challenge

Recipe:

Cook the tagliatelle al dente. Strain but catch the pasta water.

Chop the onion finely.
Heat the sunflower oil in a frying pan. Sweat the onion for 3 minutes.

Chop the garlic finely.
Cut the tips off the beans.
Add the garlic and the green beans to the onion. Bake for 4 minutes.

Add the cream to the pan. Season the beans to taste with salt and pepper. Add two tablespoons of the pasta liquid to the dish. Thicken the sauce on a high flame.
When the sauce has thickened, toss the pasta with the sauce and serve.
