This simple dish is a great way to start the day, or to finish a meal with. It packs a lot of nutrients, combining 4 healthy ingredients in one dish.
- 100ml Greek yogurt
- 1 orange
- 1 grapefruit
- 1/4th pomegrenate
- honey, optional
Segment the orange. This is easiest done in the following manner: Place the orange sideways on the cutting board and cut off the top and bottom, until the flesh is exposed at both sides. Tip the orange over so one of the cut sides is down and providing a stable base. Cut the peel off the orange from top to bottom, slicing just into the flesh. You will be left with the orange flesh without peel. Now you can slide the orange segments out in between the membranes (place your knife as close to the membrane and slice along it, then do the same to the other side of the segment).
Repeat this process for the grapefruit.
To get the pomegrenate seeds out of the pomegrenate, cut it in half horizontally. Then hold one half with the cut side down above a bowl and bash away on it with a wooden spoon. The seeds will fall out into the bowl.
Put the yogurt in a bowl. If desired, drizzle some honey over the yogurt. Top with the fruit segments and then scatter the pomegrenate seeds over it.
